1) Can a Project have more than one SCRUM Master? 1 as backup or something like that?
2) For example, I have a from scratch project where requirements are unknown, architecture is not ready etc. Are we going to have seperate sprint for each phase like 1 for requirements 1 for architecture etc? If it is like that what will be the development teams work during that period?
3) Does SCRUM expects its team where only 7 or 9 People to posses all the skills like architecting, designing, testing etc? How functional testing is done in this method?

Well, I can only tell from real life experience. We have three certified SCRUM masters in our team. When the main SCRUM is able to attend for SCRUM of SCRUM, then it is good to have another SCRUM master on "store". Also the SCRUM master might not be accepted by the team, then it is recommended to exchange the SCRUM master by another team member.

Concerning skills: The team's skill pool is growing with every sprint. The team tries to conclude the SCRUM board as fast as it can. In the end there will be only those stories left, wherefore not enough workpower has. With these left over challenges the members grow by supporting each other.
